We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Productivity & Change Consultant, to join our growing Consulting Services team, based in Birmingham or the Midlands.

 

In this position you will be involved in managing, developing and delivering EEF’s Productivity, Performance and Change Consultancy services; this may include working alone, as part of an EEF team and/or with associate consultants. You will also be actively seeking opportunities to continuously develop the Consultancy business, working with sales colleagues and cross-functional teams where appropriate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role is part of EEF’s Consulting Services, focused on revenue development and delivery of consulting services.

 

There will be a regional focus currently defined as Midlands, however the consultant may be required to work on assignments across the UK or overseas.

 

Selling activity will involve campaigns aimed at existing clients and members, as well as prospecting for new business through various approaches; including central/local marketing initiatives and self-generated/network based leads.



KEY REPSONSIBILTIES

Overall

  • Proactively seek and develop opportunities to market and sell Productivity, Performance and Change consulting services to members and clients, to meet annual targets. Particular focus on clients operating in the Midlands
  • Responding to member and client requests for Productivity, Performance and Change consulting services, providing advice on the appropriate options, arranging meetings and writing proposals
  • Lead programme and project management for Productivity, Performance and Change consulting services
  • Developing innovative consulting service products in line with national guidelines and requirements
  • Seek to maintain and continuously improve the quality of EEF consulting services and products
  • Coordinate and deliver Productivity, Performance and Change consulting services and products to member companies in line with the membership offering, and/or to non-EEF clients
  • Manage the needs analysis, design, delivery, validation and evaluation of consulting services interventions and seminars
  • Work with colleagues across the business to develop opportunities for cross-sales

 



PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience

  • Experience of working as a senior improvement professional or internal consultant in a commercial business environment is essential.
  • Detailed understanding of organisational culture change, performance and change management at individual, team and organizational level. With experience of major restructuring/business reorganisation.
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of current improvement challenges in the manufacturing sector and wider.
  • Strong track record of Business Development
  • Experience of writing proposals, tenders, projects etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in three or more of the following areas:
  • Extensive track record of providing improvement and organisational change best practice solutions that support continuing strategic business change and performance.
  • Experience throughout the consulting lifecycle, from opportunity identification, deal shaping, business case, change scoping and definition, design, delivery and transition.
  • Skilled in developing business cases and articulating benefit ranges.
  • Experience of reviewing improvement strategy, objectives, and recommend changes or rewrite in line with company vison.
  • Proven experience of giving advice and working with business managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement plans on a range of productivity issues for example: poor efficiency, employee involvement in improvement activity, managing change, restructuring to support improvement, managing risks along the change journey and demonstrate measurable results or added value.
  • Comfortable in engaging a diverse range of colleagues and senior clients to build effective relationships.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Credible team player and team leader.

Qualifications

  • A qualification in Lean/Six Sigma or productivity improvement is desirable
  • Applicants will need to hold a full clean driving licence as this role requires travelling within the Region.
