Director of External Affairs

Powering growth through thought leadership, the provision of business services and industry intelligence, EEF is representing the sector’s interests, both at the heart of government and internationally.

EEF seeks a director of external affairs to lead the organisation’s external affairs, policy and media functions, to secure EEF’s reputation as a highly effective representative body and inspire confidence in the UK’s manufacturing sector.

Role

• Championing manufacturers and manufacturing in the UK.
• Working closely with the chief executive and member companies to determine and deliver EEF’s policy and representation agenda.
• Outlining EEF’s engagement with and response to Brexit.

Candidate

• Capable of influencing through a variety of channels. Superior communication, interpersonal and highly developed networking skills. The ability to act as an ambassador for EEF and the manufacturing sector.
• A track record of delivering campaigns within an organisation of similar size, scale and complexity.
• Proven experience of operating at highest levels of government and the media.
