We have a great opportunity to join EEF as a Senior Recruitment Coordinator for our engineering apprenticeships. You will be working as part of our education team and will be based from our training centre in Aston, Birmingham.

 

As Senior Recruitment Coordinator, you will support the delivery of recruitment services for our apprenticeship courses. You will be speaking with students who are actively looking to join our apprenticeships, talking about the opportunities we have available and establishing which positions they are best suited to.  You will play a leading role in the coordination and delivery of recruitment events i.e. open days, which take place onsite at EEF in Aston, as well at alternative venues such as exhibition centres, colleges, client sites etc.

 

As Senior, you will also oversee the operational day to day activities of the Recruitment Team, which is made up of circa 3-4 other team members; distributing the caseload across the team to manage peaks and ensure applicants and clients receive a high standard of customer service.

We are Ofsted grade 2, RoATP approved and have an apprentice completion rate of 85%.

 

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • To oversee staff engaged in the recruitment of apprentices, ensuring applicants are processed in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the apprenticeship courses we offer and of our client base.
  • Management and delivery of own recruitment caseload.
  • Organization of assessment centers/open days.
  • Production of marketing materials, apprentice directory, data and statistics.
  • Develop and maintain databases both internal and external.
  • Creation of recruitment reports as required.
  • Representing the apprentice recruitment business function across the wider business as required.
  • Management of PO’s for the department as agreed by the Commercial Manager.

 

The knowledge, skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Strong general administration or coordination experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – confident working both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Well organized, with the ability to present information in a clear, precise, professional and timely manner
  • Strong people skills – able to provide great customer service, working across different levels
  • IT skills, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Experienced in using online management/data/CRM systems – input, updates and reporting
  • Experience of working in a supervisory position would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Experience of working in the training or education sector would be beneficial, but is not essential
