We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator to join the EEF team at our new, expanding and vibrant training site in Aston, Birmingham.

In this role you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate administration and coordination support for our Aston based training courses. You will also help support the team in achieving training revenue targets, by converting enquiries into bookings.

EEF are the UK’s leading trade body focused on the manufacturing sector: offering a range of professional services to our members and to non-member organisations - principally HR & Legal, Health & Safety, Climate & Environmental and Training & Consultancy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaising with customers to arrange training courses and dealing with the administration and logistical details.
  • Act as point of contact for day to day matters.
  • Respond proactively to sales enquires, working to convert potential leads to sales.
  • Provide information to internal and external consultants.
  • Coordinate the organisation of resources and rooms for courses.
  • Generating certification for courses, ensuring information is accurate.
  • Collating data and providing feedback and evaluations to customers.
  • Maintain database of customer information on Dynamics including logging leads and following them up
  • Generating course notes, ensuring they follow brand guidelines.
  • Working with customers to minimize course cancellation rates.
  • Responding to email and phone enquiries, ensuring responses have accurate and detailed information.
  • Liaising with on-site caterers ensuring orders are accurate and cost effective.
  • Generate invoices and raise PO numbers.
  • Registering delegates with exam boards and invigilating exams when necessary.
  • Provide front of house reception cover when required.

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Commercial based administration and/or coordination experience.
  • Experienced in working within a busy customer focused environment.
  • A team player with a willingness to go the extra mile. Self-motivated, taking pride in your work.
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of database/record management.
  • Dealing with clients in person and by phone.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and a strong customer service ethic.
  • Strong client management skills along with the ability to meet deadlines are also essential.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
