We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant with experience of environmental management systems, to join our well established, specialist team. The location for this role is flexible within the UK, however being based within or close to the Midlands area would be beneficial, as our key center is situated in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

In this role you will be delivering effective and professional sustainability consultancy services to both our members and other clients, with a focus on supporting, advising and training on the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver climate and environment consultancy and training programmes of the highest standard, to ensure that business needs and/or examination requirements are met.
  • Provide a high quality sustainability consultancy and training service to both members and clients.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients to meet their current and future business needs.
  • Act as a point of contact within the team for advice and information concerning environmental management systems product development and delivery
  • Continually promote the brand and its services, in conjunction with other areas of the business, including marketing, policy etc.
  • Consistently deliver the sustainability aspects of the membership package to a high standard.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Full membership of IEMA (ideally CEnv) or CIWEM
  • Degree or equivalent level in an environmental subject – a post graduate qualification is preferable
  • Good knowledge on the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems to ISO14001:2015 standard (preferably experience of other management systems e.g. EMAS, ISO50001, ISO9001 or 18001)
  • Superb technical and training skills, including up to date knowledge of key sustainability issues affecting organisations
  • Good knowledge of key environmental legislation
  • Knowledge and experience of the manufacturing industry would be beneficial, but is not essential
