Health and Safety Consultant - North
EEF have an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant to join our well established H&S team, based from Sheffield and helping to cover our North region.

We offer a range of professional services to our members and to non-member organisations - principally HR & legal, health & safety, climate & environmental advice, training & consultancy.
In the role of Health & Safety Consultant, you will be delivering effective and professional health and safety services to our members and to other clients. It is expected that approximately 60% of your time will be spent providing consultancy services and the remaining 40% will be spent delivering and developing training; such as IOSH, NEBOSH Oxford Brookes and EEF tailored courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver open and in-company health and safety programmes to the highest standard, ensuring that business needs and/or examination requirements are met.
- Provide a high-quality health and safety consultancy service to both members and clients.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing members and clients to meet their current and future business needs.
- Continually promote the EEF brand and its services, in conjunction with other areas of the business including Marketing, Policy etc. and the development of new products and services.
- Deliver the health and safety aspects of our related membership package consistently and to a high standard.
Skills & Experience:
- A NEBOSH Diploma is essential.
- Practitioner level membership of IEMA (PIEMA) or the equivalent is preferred.
- Strong experience of working in the field of health and safety, with experience of delivering training.
- Knowledge and experience of environmental issues and management systems (EMS) – i.e. ISO 14001 and/or 18001
- Superb technical skills, including up to date knowledge of H&S gained through CPD.
- Preferably experienced in dealing with strategic and specific health and safety issues within a sector that is high risk, such as manufacturing, engineering, construction etc.
- Flexibility to travel internationally may be required.
