L&D Tutor / Assessor
EEF have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Learning & Development team as a Field Based - Tutor / Assessor, based in the Midlands area, with some national travel.
We are looking for someone who has had experience of delivering and assessing both Level 3 and Level 5 courses in Management and Leadership, working to ESFA and Ofsted guidelines. Experience of delivering and/or assessing other courses such as CMI, Project Management, Prince 2, Lean, Functional Skills, Prevent, Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding, would be beneficial.

Main purpose of the job:
As a L&D Tutor/Assessor, we will be looking for you to provide delivery and assessment to your assigned caseload of learners; ensuring they have access and opportunity to achieve the qualifications that are set out in their individual learning plans, and that their training meets set guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and deliver accredited qualifications in line with role
- Ensure learners have timely achievement and successful progression, and receive a review a minimum of every 10 weeks
- Develop and deliver high quality tutoring sessions, to a minimum of ‘Good’, in line with Ofsted grading guidance, and all related documentation e.g. lesson plans, SOW, resources etc.
- Build good relationships with learners, employers and other external agencies
- Complete all necessary documentation and administration to include assessment and review documentation, ILPs, filing etc.
- Support clients with the levy budget and give advice and guidance on training delivery
- Maintain ‘Continuous Personal Development’, keeping up to date with professional, lead and awarding body standards.
Knowledge and experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- It is essential that candidates have an Assessor qualification, such as D32/33/A1 or TAQA Level 3
- A V1 qualification would be beneficial
- A Teaching Qualification, i.e. Cert Ed, PGCE, DTTLS or equivalent is preferred, if this is not held currently, applicants must be willing to work towards obtaining a teaching qualification
- Familiarity with ESFA funding rules and relevant documentation
- Knowledge of OFSTED, CIF
- Knowledge of L&D apprentice reforms and an understanding of "standards" and the levy would be advantageous
- Any experience or knowledge of the manufacturing or engineering sector would be beneficial
- Candidates must hold a driving licence and have the capacity to travel throughout England
