We have an exciting opportunity for someone with business research and statistical skills to join us as Benchmarking Manager, based from our offices in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.

As Benchmarking Manager, you will work within our Information & Research (I&R) team and as a part of our wider Economics team. You will form a key part of the team and have end-to-end responsibility for our pay benchmarking series, including its commercial sale, plus the development and delivery of other benchmark reports.

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to grow and develop the role; taking ownership and driving it forward.


 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

•         End-to-end responsibility for the pay benchmark series – ensuring punctual, high quality delivery and continual improvement of survey response rates
•         Independent management of the pay settlements survey and the publications derived from it
•         Continuous improvement of existing portfolio of pay reports in order to meet client’s needs
•         Gathering market intelligence to assess EEF’s benchmarking offering against competitors/similar organisations
•         Achievement of commercial targets on pay benchmark series
•         External marketing and promotion of the I&R team’s work through social media, blogs and press releases and ongoing development and improvement of I&R website content
•         Effective communication and promotion of the I&R service to internal teams
•         Developing new benchmarking products based on intelligence from member/client interactions and delivering from idea to final product
•         Assisting with bespoke research work as required
 


To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
 
•         A degree or equivalent level of experience in a statistical or business-related discipline
•         Highly numerate and excellent communication skills
•         Experience of leading and delivering projects
•         Ability to apply statistical techniques to analyse and manipulate data using spreadsheets and databases
•         Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
•         Advanced Excel skills
•         Commercially focused
•         Experience of working with surveys would be beneficial
•         A working knowledge of SPSS would be preferable
•         Experience of using social media to promote products/services in a business environment would be advantageous
